11. Trichology and Hair Transplantation

Trichology is the branch of medicine that deals with the scientific study of the health of the hair and scalp. Trichologists are hair and scalp specialists (a type of skin specialist) who diagnose the causes of hair loss, hair breakage, hair thinning, hair shrinkage, skin diseases. scalp and treat them according to the cause. Hair transplantation is surgery that moves the hair and hair follicles from a part of your body called the donor site to the bald or hairless part called the recipient site. It is finished using a surgical knife or a punch graft instrument. Strands of hair removed from one part of the body are placed in small holes in the bald scalp. Hair transplantation is done either by follicular unit extraction (FUE) or by follicular unit transplant technique (FUT).
